I love finding antique wood furniture pieces in need of a little TLC, giving them a quick refresh, and discovering their potential. This is especially rewarding when finding a piece that’s been discarded.
Last weekend, my sister-in-law and husband brought home this beautiful antique mirror with burl wood accents. Someone had put in it a free pile outside their home. It had nicks in the wood, dust deep in the decorative carvings, and some desilvering of the mirror.
I’ve talked before about giving meaningful pieces new life, but wanted to distill my process for wood furniture into this graphic. This process helped make the mirror shine!
